My Lucky Charm Necklace and Earrings

Top o' the mornin' to ya' - and Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I love celebrating St. Patrick's Day because, after all,  I do have a wee bit of Irish blood in me!  I believe I have more Scottish blood, but I do have some Irish blood - so I'll KISS THE BLARNEY STONE!  In celebration of this special day, I made a green garnet necklace and earrings.  The necklace has a sweet little antique brass connector that has shamrocks on it.  I wore this necklace and earrings today to meet a friend for lunch - Mexican food.  I was wearing a cream-colored shirt, which looked beautiful with my green garnets.......until I dropped some cheese enchilada on my shirt.  LOL!  I just can't seem to eat a meal without getting it somewhere on me.  The cheese enchilada "drop" fell just beneath where the end of my necklace falls, so I looked very classy indeed!

Have a great day - and drink some green beer (or a Margarita)!  Happy St. Patty's Day!

Easter Morning Jewelry

One of the new hobbies I've been enjoying is making jewelry.  If you think stamping is an expensive hobby to have, try making jewelry.  It will bankrupt you to a whole new level!  But man, oh, man is it a world of fun and the creativity is insane!  Here's a necklace and earrings I put together with Easter in mind, although you could wear it all during the spring.  The pastel blue pearls give these pieces a nice touch of spring.  The antique brass connector is filled with blooming flowers.  My favorite element to add to any piece I make is, of course, bling in the form of rhinestone rondelles.  You can see more of my jewelry in my Etsy shop at www.madebyjimmisdaughter.etsy.com.  I'll have more jewelry coming up soon - it just takes some time to photograph things and get it in my shop - and I usually have a limited amount of time to do it!  Have a lovely day and we'll talk soon.

Home Sweet Home Sampler

Good Morning to You!  One of my favorite things to make is samplers - and here is one that I made for a couple of friends who recently moved into new houses.  For the first one I made, I used red and black because I absolutely love red accents in my home, but then I got the idea to make the houses really colorful - they kind of remind me of the homes I saw in Bermuda!  I think they turned out so cute.  I used My Favorite Things dies for the houses and a variety of different scrapbook pages.  I framed mine with black frames, but the colorful houses also look very cute in a white frame.

I spent last weekend working on these and it was total and complete therapy!  It's renewed my love for samplers.  Working with paper is good for the soul!

Have a great weekend.  I'm off to make a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.  My daughter is turning 22 tomorrow and that's what the birthday girl has requested.  GOOD CHOICE!

St. Patrick's Day Jar

Hi, All!  Tonight our Bunco group is getting together and I want to give the hostess a little somethin' - and here it is!  In honor of St. Patrick's Day this month, I had to try out a jar.  I love it!  The leftover green knobs from my Christmas jars came in handy.

Hershey's gold nuggets are perfect inside the jar - looks like a pot of gold!  I have finished the samplers I've been working on and I'll post them tomorrow.  I was really happy with how they turned out.  Gotta run - have a marvelous day!
